Husqvarna Demos Babes in the Dirt 4

Introducing the 2019 Husqvarna Demo Line Up at Babes in the Dirt 5!

We are thrilled to announce we will be releasing the 2019 Husqvarna demo next week but wanted to give you a sneak peak on what the Husky crew is bringing out for you to joy ride….

This year at Babes in the Dirt 5, Husqvarna Motorcycles will bring 20 demo motorcycles for beginner, new, and experienced riders. Beginning with the small displacement bikes, best for those “New to Moto,” we have four 2019 TC 85‘s. From there, the bikes go up in engine size and seat height. Read on for a brief overview bikes that will be available at this event and visit for full model range and technical specifications.

The 2019 FE 250 will comprise much of the demo fleet at Babes in the Dirt 5. FE models are dual-sport motorcycles, which are capable off-road bikes that are plated and ready for the road. The engines are second to none in terms of overall performance and versatility, making the bike accessible to both novice and experienced riders. These models will be lowered by shortening the Rear Shock 50 mm, which lowers the seat height from 37.7 inches to roughly 35 inches. The forks are also lowered 50 mm balancing out the front and rear of the bike.

Featuring seven updated models and an all-new motocross line, Husqvarna Motorcycles 2019 motocross range combines cutting-edge technology with high-end componentry to offer riders of all ages and riding levels one of the most efficient and sophisticated motocross line ups on the market.

The 2019 TC 85 17/14 is our standard size 85 cc, meaning the wheel size is standard with a 17’’ front wheel and 14’’ rear wheel. This is a great beginner motocross bike with a low seat height of 33.5 inches. A lower seat height gives a new rider the necessary confidence to feel comfortable while riding and stopping.

The 2019 TC 85 19/16 is our big wheel 85 cc, this bike has the same engine as our standard size 85 cc but with larger wheels. A 19’’ front wheel and a 16’’ rear wheel offer a slightly taller seat height of 34.8 inches.

The 2019 TC 125 is a standard size Motocross bike with a 21’’ front wheel and a 19’’ rear wheel. This bike is the natural progression for a rider who is outgrowing their 85 cc and wants something bigger but with a minimal jump in power; perfect for those who are still gaining confidence in the dirt.

The 2019 FC 250 is a standard size Motocross bike and raced by Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing team riders Michael Mosiman, Thomas Covington and Jordan Bailey in the 250 class. It features a 21’’ front wheel and a 19’’ rear wheel. These models will be lowered by shortening the Rear Shock 12 mm, which lowers the seat height from 37.4 inches to roughly 36 inches. The forks are then raised in the triple clamps balancing out the front and rear of the bike.

The FC 450 features a 21’’ front wheel and a 19’’ rear wheel. This bike will be available for demo at the seat stock height of 37.4 inches and should only be ridden by the most experienced riders.

Babes in the Dirt 4 | Re-cap | THANK YOU!

Wow, just WOW! Never in a million years did we think this event would grow to what it is today. Because of ladies like you, who are growing the off-road community with your sheer enthusiasm and kindness, have helped to create one of the largest gathering of dirt bike loving ladies we've ever witnessed. Thanks to every single one of you who donated to make this event happen, I hope you got to see just how far your donations went. Because of you, this event was our best one yet and so many ladies got to experience dirt without any hesitations.

This event wouldn't be possible without the support of the following:

Husqvarna Motorcycles for bringing out 30 demo bikes. Thank you for offering classes for first time riders and demos for beginners & experienced riders that were fun , challenging, and so rewarding! If you got a chance to try one of their machines, you probably fell in love. Husqvarna was with us since our very first year when there were only 60 of us ripping trails in between rain and hail storms. This journey would not be possible without the Husqvarna brand and the amazing humans that make up their team. We consider them family!

Fox Womens for doing one hell of a gear demo and offering so much free stuff to the attendees that we were in awe! These ladies kicked major ass and were all smiles the entire time. We hope you all got to experience how modern gear (that fits) can give you so much more confidence on the trails (and can be life saving).

WLF Enduro for running trail patrol, helping pick up bikes, handing out high fives, assisting with a kick start here and there,  capturing epic jump shots, and for all the firewood. We truly believe in their motto "Further Together" as that is exactly what went down this weekend. We can't thank them enough for their support!

Kurt Caselli Foundation for the medical support. With 700 ladies in attendance and 2 motocross tracks open, it was vital to have a full service ambulance with 2 trained paramedics on site for 3 days. We are so grateful to the Caselli foundation for investing in safety and education with every project they touch. It was truly an honor to have them involved and to have Nancy Caselli get to experience the event.

Thousand Oaks Powersports fixed 106 bikes so ladies could get back out there an ride. 106 is a new Babes in the Dirt record! Their team was there to show you what you can do to prevent maintenance issues and help fix any minor things that kept ladies from riding. Thank you to Mark and Gary for all their hard work!

Sena for us connected. We saw so many riders with their Senas on, allowing them to keep their group together and warn each other of any on coming trail traffice or obstacles. Not to mention capturing each others wipe outs and triumphs! Thank you for bringing the laughs to the event with their obstacle course. Being able to stay connected on the trail was incredible and so much fun!

See See Motorcycles for the fun and games. Never have we seen such perseverance with the mini bike games.  This brand truly embodies the spirit of good times, good friends, and two wheels.

Garrahan Offroad Training taught over 100 ladies how to ride at #babesinthedirt4 whether you had never been on a bike in your life or were looking to advance your skills; Brian Garrahan and the crew had the training course ready to rip! Thank you for being there and thank you to all the ladies that tried something new last weekend !

Debra, Chris, Ross, Gary, Justin, Maggie, Dawn and the entire staff of Hungry Valley SVRA. These people worked so hard behind the scenes to ensure the tracks were groomed, rangers were in position, emergency planning was dialed, permits were filed, bathrooms cleaned, trash sorted, and so much more! Our parks services are incredible and we hope you return to visit them and many more this year.

Thank you to all of our raffle contributors!

Husqvarna Demo Sign Up is L-I-V-E for Babes in the Dirt 4!

Husqvarna Motorcycles will be joining us at Babes in the Dirt 4 with the fleet of demo bikes. If you have not had the chance to try out one of these amazing machines this is your opportunity. Please read the following very carefully before signing up for ANY of the demo spots.

  • To learn more about the bikes that will be available to demo click HERE

  • To learn more about the demo team click HERE

In order to participate in the Husqvarna Motorcycles Demo Program you must bring the following:

1. Government issued photo ID (motorcycle license is not required)

2. Signed waiver release form (this will be emailed to you prior to the event).

3. Proper riding gear. If you do not have these items or cannot borrow, please do not sign up as they are ALL manditory before you get on their bikes.

• DOT approved helmet

• Goggles

• Motorcycle gloves

• Motorcycle jersey or approved long sleeves

• Motocross riding pants (no jeans)

• Motocross boots (no work or street boots permitted)

The above is for your own safety. You must be fully geared and show up 30 min before your time slot with signed waiver in hand. Failure to do so forfeits your spot to a rider on the waitlist.

We have a few different riding levels this year to ensure ladies don't get in over their heads. Review carefully and pick a class that best fits your level.

New to Moto: I have been on a dirt bike less than 5 times. I am not fully comfortable operating a dirt bike yet or do not know how to at all. For this option, you will be included in a training course on site.

Beginner: I know how to operate a dirt bike. I am comfortable with shifting and braking. I am comfortable off-road but am still learning how to ride different terrain.

Intermediate: I am very comfortable operating a dirt bike. I am very comfortable in a wide variety of terrain.

Can I request a certain bike from the fleet?

Sorry, you'll be paired with a moto based on which level you choose. No requests please.

Can I sign up more than once or for my friend?

To let as many ladies experience the demos and to keep it fair, you can only sign up once and you cannot sign up your friends. If we see a duplicate name or email, we will cancel the sign up automatically no questions asked.

Shoot! There are no more time slots available, what do I do?

If the demos are full, make sure to stop by the Husky booth 30 min before each demo takes place fully geared and ready to go to get on the waitlist. Often riders miss their class and the next person in line that is ready to go gets to slide into their place. Even though Husky managed to work through a ton of riders on this waitlist, nothing is ever guaranteed so plan accordingly.

I don't have the gear listed, what are my options?

Please borrow from a friend or post in the facebook page for the event by clicking here to see if anyone can loan you gear. If you don't have the gear, you can't demo the bike. It's for your own safety.

Dangit! I signed up and can't come. What do I do?

No problem! Please cancel your demo ticket immediately. This way the spot can go to someone who can show up :) It's very easy and very appreciated Simply log in and cancel the free ticket. Click HERE for step by step instructions.

How do I know if any spots are available from cancellations?

Simply check back here as a cancellation will auto populate an opening on the tickets page.

Are there ID or minimum age requirements?

Demos, just like the event, are 21+. No motorcycle license is needed to participate.

How can I contact the organizer with any questions?

Alright! Now that you are well informed, click HERE to sign up for the ride of your life!
