Thousand Oaks Powersports has been coming out to Babes in the Dirt for 3 years now! Between all the events they have fixed over 200 motorcycles on site to help get Babes back in the Dirt! They are coming back for our 5th year to offer trackside support. In addition to being there to help problem solve and wrench where needed, they will have some spare parts etc available for purchase in case you take a spill. Read on to hear more about Thousand Oaks Powersports and the crew!
Lots of rain = great off road riding.
Thousand Oaks Powersports will be celebrating 50 years in business this year and this off road season has been one of the best in recent memory. Babes in the Dirt 5 at Gorman is shaping up to be epic! This being our third year at Babes in the Dirt, we are keenly aware of what may come up so we’re getting ready a little earlier this year. Between Babes in the Dirt 3 and 4 we have fixed over 200 motorcycles! 2019 marks our 31st year doing trackside support for riders and racers at events all over the country.
Our mission at Babes in the Dirt is to make sure your bike (or gear) is working properly so you can enjoy the entire weekend riding. If you’re having bike trouble, come find us! We’ll do our very best to get you rolling as soon as possible. It doesn’t matter if you’re on a rental or it’s your own ride, we’ll try to get you going. As usual, our services are free of charge, but if there is a part you need to fix your bike you’ll have to pay for that. Anyone attending Babes in the Dirt will get a discount on bikes, parts, accessories, riding gear and service at our shop leading up to the event. Last year we had several riders buy bikes and gear from us before and after the event and we definitely appreciate the support!
This year our team at Babes in the Dirt will be a little different. Our Chief Technician, Charles Price, will be there wrenching on bikes. Chas is a master tech and a former pro racer. Chas’ approach to working on bikes is next level. He’s also one of the most patient and informative people you’d hope to meet. If you have questions about how motorcycles work, Chas is the person to ask! Two familiar faces, Mark and Laura, will be there trying to keep up with Chas.
Aside from fixing motorcycles, we are here to pass on knowledge. There are no stupid questions when it comes to motorcycles. It doesn’t matter if you ride a TT-R 110 or a 500 EXC, if you have questions, we want to help. Whether you want to know how a carburetor works or you’re thinking about buying your next bike, we can guide you in finding answers.
It’s been an honor to be a part of Babes in the Dirt and we’re looking forward to another fun weekend.
One last thing, don’t forget your spark arrestors. See you there!
